About Lunar-Burst

We're a Nottingham-based financial consultancy focused on making financial management accessible, understandable, and practical for everyone.

Our Story

Lunar-Burst began in 2012 when our founder, after spending over a decade in corporate finance, noticed a consistent problem: everyday people and small business owners were underserved when it came to practical financial guidance.

Banks pushed products. Accountants focused on compliance. Financial advisors often required minimum investment thresholds that excluded most people. There was a gap—a need for straightforward, jargon-free financial education and planning that didn't come with hidden agendas.

We started small, working out of a shared office space in Lace Market, taking on a handful of clients who needed help with everything from basic budgeting to preparing their small businesses for growth. Word spread. Referrals came. The team grew.

Today, we operate from our office on Castle Boulevard and serve clients across Nottinghamshire and beyond. Our mission remains unchanged: to provide honest, accessible financial guidance that makes a real difference in people's lives.

What We Stand For

Transparency

No hidden fees, no confusing jargon, no pressure tactics. We explain everything clearly and let you make informed decisions at your own pace.

Accessibility

Financial guidance shouldn't be reserved for the wealthy. We work with clients at every income level and tailor our approach to fit your circumstances.

Independence

We don't sell financial products or receive commissions. Our only incentive is helping you succeed, which means our advice is never compromised.

Practicality

Theory is nice, but action matters. We focus on implementable strategies that fit your real life, not idealised scenarios that ignore your actual constraints.

Our Team

A small, dedicated team with diverse backgrounds united by a shared commitment to financial education.

Our Approach

Financial management isn't a one-size-fits-all discipline. A strategy that works for a young professional saving for their first home won't suit a small business owner managing seasonal cash flow, and neither will fit someone five years from retirement.

That's why we start every engagement by listening. We want to understand not just your numbers, but your life: your goals, your concerns, your constraints, and your values around money. Only then do we begin to formulate recommendations.

Our advice is always explained in plain language. We don't believe in impressing clients with jargon or overwhelming them with options. Instead, we focus on clarity: what are you trying to achieve, what are your realistic options, and what are the trade-offs involved?

1

Listen First

Your situation is unique. We take time to understand it fully before making any recommendations.

2

Explain Clearly

If you don't understand something, that's our failure, not yours. We keep explaining until it clicks.

3

Empower Decisions

We provide information and guidance; you make the decisions. We never pressure clients into actions they're not comfortable with.
